I love this book, with it's graphic violence and fantastic plot we are taken into a world of cannibalism and sexual lust. Wrath is an author who will shock you and if when you pick up this novel (which i suggest you do) you will see why he is at the top of the list of modern day horror greats. If you like your books gory then this is the perfect choice for you.

When i first started at Waterstone's the horror buyer for the story told me I need to read some real horror novels and looking to impress I saw no other option but to take the first book he could recommend and that was this Edward Lee classic. PORTRAIT is not just a horror novel, it is a dark and sickly twisted work of art. The characters are well written and you can feel every cut and every needle being pushed in the victims eyes. One of my favorite novels of all time I will always respect the man who recommended me this.
