You can't beat a good British Horror. Starring Kelly Reilly (SHERLOCK HOLMES) and Michael Fassbender (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS) EDEN LAKE is a hardcore game of Cat and Mouse full of some pretty gory deaths and loads of unruly British Teenagers including up and coming young British actor Thomas Turgoose, better known for his role of Shaun in the hit cult film THIS IS ENGLAND. If you like your horror gritty then this is a perfect choice.

Who said Remakes can't work! MOTHER'S DAY is a rip roaring thrill ride for a group of friends who are celebrating a birthday only to be forced to enduring a night of violence. Starring Rebecca De Mornay of THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE fame and Jaime King (MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D) MOTHER'S DAY is one of only a handful if really good home invasion films on the market today.

I LOVE this film, and REC is one of the most acclaimed Zombie/Handheld horror films of all time. Spanish in origin and remade (badly) in American as Quarantine, REC shows you what a Handheld Camera horror should be. It is scary and it is addictive. I would also recommend REC2 the continuation of the events from the first.

Laugh at me if you must but as a believer of Ghosts this film scared the holy crap out of me! PARANORMAL ACTIVITY is found footage at its best. If you like films that will leave you feeling scared when you go home at night than this will love this film this Halloween. PLUS PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 is out now (review to come when i see it this week) so why not watch the first and second films.

One of my top 5 Films of 2011 THE CALLER was my second fav Film4 Frightfest film this year. A ghost story with a difference this one and stars Stephen Moyer of TRUE BLOOD fame THE CALLER is just a pleasure to watch. low on gore high of fantastic story and acting. if you like your horror films with out the blood and guts then this would be a great choice.

We can't have a Halloween list without good ol' Sam. Possibly one of the best Halloween based horror films since...well...HALLOWEEN. With a great cast including the beautiful TRUE BLOOD star Anna Paquin and original Hannibal Lecter Brian Cox. Sam has become a bit of a cult icon recently and no Halloween would be complete without him and his razor blade candy

(1) The Loved Ones
Aside from THE COLLECTOR, which is a great slasher, only one film has reached my top 10 all time favorite horror list and that is THE LOVED ONES. I have been recommending this film to EVERYONE and i have not yet been given any bad feedback. This Aussie masterpiece has my top film from Film4 FrightFest 2010 and has been a re-watched title ever since I got the DVD. THE LOVED ONES has a high level of violence and torture and a Female Villain that will be very hard to outdo. You will never hear the song "Not pretty enough2 by Kasey Chambers in the same way EVER AGAIN! All Iwill say is this.... " BRING THE HAMMER DADDY!"
