DWELLER is a horror story with heart, as a troubled boy befriends a hideous monster, which leads to a friendship that surpasses a lifetime.
This is my first Strand book, and I will be reading more. The storytelling was brilliant and the relationship and the love between Toby and Owen the monster actually makes your heart melt at the closing conclusion (I will not spoil it for you). The anger inside Toby due to the bulling made me feel glad when the bullies meet their bloody end.

Dweller is a horror book that does not have to rely on the heavy gore but helps you to make a picture of Owen inside your mind. Strand's writing style is steady but not a drag, which is always good with a slower paced story such as this.

Is Strand a major player in modern horror? Damn right he is.

Jeff Strand is back with a zombie story with a twist. Meet Stanley, a failing film producer who’s life is tragically ended when he is hit by a milk truck. Stanley is brought back to life in a live TV experiment and is given another chance at life. However he is now a hideous walking cadaver. On the plus side Stanley becomes an instant celebrity, being dubbed as the amazing Mr Corpse by the press, having his pick of the zombie groupies and even getting his own beautiful P.A in a young woman named Victoria.
But Project Second Chance have their own plans for Stanley, and he soon realises that the world of celebrity isn’t any easier dead.

I loved Strand’s previous book DWELLER (see review below) but I love THE SINSITER MR CORPSE even more. It is so well written, with laugh out loud comedy and dark tones, that I couldn’t put down my E-Reader. Strand has created a leading man that even the best of writers wishes they could write. THE SINISTER MR CORPSE shows the zombie sub-genre in a new way and even Stanley’s demise by drowning in pool of Milk is written so well you tend to just see it as sense. As the story unfolds you have a wide selection of fun characters with both likability and hate factors to them, which helps with the books addictive flow.

Jeff Strand is possibly one of the best authors about at the moment and it is a shame they isn’t enough British horror fans that know of him. So here I am telling you all to give it a go! Download the story to your kindles and enjoy an awesome read.
